How to convert into DaVinci Resolve markers?

1. Import a sequence from AAF (Advanced Authoring Format) into Avid Pro Tools

In Pro Tools: Select File > Import > "AAF". In the file dialog, choose the AAF file and click "Open".

ℹ️ If a project is open, select if you want to create a new project.
If you select No, the AAF file is imported into the current project.

2. Export Markers from Avid Pro Tools

Open the Markers panel in Pro Tools and export the markers as the .txt file. Alternatively, you can choose "File > Export > Session Info As Text" from the Pro Tools menu and select the Include Markers option to create the text file containing the markers with their location, name, and comments.

3. Use the "İşaretleyici Dönüştürücü" to convert the TXT Markers marker file into an EDL marker file

Open the free İşaretleyici Dönüştürücü, select "Avid Pro Tools > TXT Marker (.txt)" and set "convert" to "DaVinci Resolve > Sequence (.edl)". Generate and download the file. If you have problems converting the file, you can contact the free support.

4. Import the EDL marker file in DaVinci Resolve

Create the new sequence or open the sequence in your project.
Right-click the Sequence in your Media tab. It will open the popup menu.
Navigate to: "Timelines > Import > Timeline Markers from EDL".
Select the EDL marker file for Resolve and the markers will load.

ℹ️ If you don't see any markers, make sure they are in the correct timecode range and try zooming out of your timeline. If you cannot find the Timeline Markers, make sure you have selected a sequence in your Media tab. Resolve might not support special characters in marker names and comments.

5. Done
