The ALE Metadata Toolkit for Adobe Premiere Pro makes it easy to import all columns from an ALE file (including those that Premiere Pro normally skips). It also allows you to update metadata in an existing ALE file and merge it with metadata from Premiere Pro.

Import metadata
Adobe Premiere Pro will usually ignore some columns in your ALE files that may contain valuable information for your editing process. This plugin ensures that all metadata columns are imported and displayed. This is particularly useful when additional information is provided in columns for VFX or archive footage processes.
Sort files into subfolders by tape name
The plugin can optionally create folders in your Project Panel and sort the clips in them using the tape name as the folder name.
Add track names to audio clips
This function adds the track names from ALE to the audio clips in a sequence. For example, if your TRK1 value is "MIX" and your TRK2 value is "Boom", this information will be added to the audio track 1 and 2 clips within a sequence.
Merge metadata
If you already have clips in Premiere Pro, but some metadata columns are missing, you can merge information from your ALE files to access all the metadata columns inside your project.
Update ALE files
If you are missing columns in your ALE file and want to merge information added in Premiere Pro, you can also use this plug-in to update existing .ale files.
Exchange Metadata with other tools
This plugin is a great addition to workflows with other tools, such as our Archive Production Manager to import metadata from Archive Producers such as clip prices, licenses, archive names or copyright information.
Choose your license
We offer three types of licenses. The single-user license is ideal for freelancers who want to use the plugin on one or two computers. This license is bound to one email address. For companies, we offer a Business Team License, which is bound to the company and allows up to five employees to use the plugin on multiple computers. We also offer an enterprise option with a customized version of the plugin and a greater number of licenses within an organization. Please contact our sales team for more information. All licenses are perpetual.

Close Adobe Premiere Pro before installing the plugin. You can then run the .pkg installer for MacOS or the .exe installer for Windows. It is also possible to install the extension using the ZXP file. This requires the ZXP installer.
If you already have the plugin installed and want to install a new version of the plugin, you can simply run the new installer. It is not necessary to uninstall the old version, the new one will overwrite everything.
You can activate the plugin panel in Premiere Pro menu under "Window > Extensions > ALE Metadata Toolkit".

Yes, if you purchased the plugin through EditingTools.io, you will be able to download updates for the plugin at any time. If you did not purchase the plugin with an account, you can create an account with the same email you used to purchase the license and the license will be linked automatically. To download the latest version of the plugin, go to "Purchases" in your account.

If you purchased the plugin without creating an account, there are two ways to download an update or redownload the plugin. On MacOS the extension can be easily uninstalled by deleting the folder "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions/ALE Metadata Toolkit".
